PREES HEATH COMMON

NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the undermentioned Society to

 (i) FORM DITCHES and BANKS amounting to 1400 metres or thereabouts on parts of PREES COMMON along frontages to the A41 and A49 trunk roads and alongside frontages to the existing access track for the purpose of preventing unauthorized vehicle access onto the Common;

(ii) ERECT SIGNS at pedestrian access points to the land explaining the purpose of the NATURE RESERVE and rules for access to common land.

(iii) INSTALL a STEEL BARRIER GATE and a STEEL KISSING GATE on the north side of the existing access track for the purpose of preventing unauthorized vehicle access.

(iv) apply under Section 194 of the Law of Property Act 1925 to the Secretary

of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for CONSENT for the forming of banks and ditches, the installation of gates and erection of the proposed signs.

A copy of the application form and map showing the locations of the banks and ditches, the signs and the gates may be inspected at the

North Shropshire District Council offices,

Edinburgh House, Wem, Shropshire SY4 5DB

between the hours of  9.00arn and 5.00prn from Monday to Thursday, and from 9.00am to 4.30pm on Fridays (public holidays excepted) until the 22nd day of December 2006

Any objections or representations relating to the proposed banks and ditches or signs should be submitted in writing ON or BEFORE that date to:
